{"id":319,"date":"2008-04-24T13:34:18","date_gmt":"2008-04-24T19:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.donaldneff.com\/blog\/?p=319"},"modified":"2018-12-14T17:52:08","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T23:52:08","slug":"a-breath-of-plein-air-press-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.donaldneff.com\/blog\/a-breath-of-plein-air-press-preview\/","title":{"rendered":"A Breath of Plein Air Press Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was invited to a press preview of the upcoming <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.historysanjose.org\/exhibits_collections\/current_upcoming_exhibits\/PleinAir.html\">Breath of Plein Air<\/a> show  starting this weekend in San Jose Historic Park.  I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of the plein air work in the show.  It is amazing the interpretation of subject matter and colors you can find just around this urban area.<\/p>\n<p>A number of artists in the show came,  and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/salpizarro\">Sal Pizarro<\/a>,  a columnist in the local <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/salpizarro\">San Jose Mercury News<\/a> was also there.  I mainly talked shop with the other artists &amp; enjoyed the wonderful snack buffet.<\/p>\n<p>A public reception is on schedule for this Sunday.  Hopefully you will come out and see the show!
