{"id":446,"date":"2009-02-15T20:13:02","date_gmt":"2009-02-16T02:13:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.donaldneff.com\/blog\/?p=446"},"modified":"2009-02-15T20:13:02","modified_gmt":"2009-02-16T02:13:02","slug":"nick-white-in-memoriam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.donaldneff.com\/blog\/nick-white-in-memoriam\/","title":{"rendered":"Nick White , in Memoriam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A good artist &#038; painting buddy of mine passed away last week.\u00c2\u00a0 I had known <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nickwhitestudio.com\/\">Nick White<\/a> about 5 years and he was one of the nicest, no nonsense, down to earth guys I have ever known.\u00c2\u00a0 Nick was the leader of the Los Gatos Art Association plein air group, and it was primarily his effort, energy, and care which kept the group going.\u00c2\u00a0 Besides painting together in the local area many times over the years, we took several painting trips together, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.donaldneff.com\/weblog\/weblogoctdec2006.html\">such as one to the Eastern Sierras in October 2006<\/a> to paint the fall colors.<\/p>\n<p>There were no memorial services for him, but a group of friends gathered at his home today in remembrance.
